Facts about The Magi
- The Magi is an IRS designated 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our tax ID # is 38-3222383
- The Magi submits an annual audit to the IRS
- The Magi has obtained and maintains a solicitation license
- The Magi has been approved to make donations to individuals/families who qualify under the guidelines of ‘poor and needy’. These recipients are those who cannot meet their basic living needs on their regular income, these being food, clothing and shelter. Learn more about recipient qualification
- The Magi has also been approved to make donations to those serving in ministry or as missionaries. These recipients must, however, claim this as income and complete a W-9.
- All donations are reviewed carefully and approved by our Board of Directors
- Each donor receives a thank you letter and tax receipt to file with their accountant.
- All donations are kept under the strictest methods of confidentiality
- 10% of the donation is retained by The Magi for operational expenses.
